Beloved Condor Spirit and Spirit of Macchu Pichu, I am feeling stuck around manifesting the next step in my mission and purpose in life. Please give me guidance!”
I was sitting in front of my mesa—the word used by the Q’ero people of the Andes in Peru for a power-packed medicine bundle. I said more—about what I had done so far, about my ideas and thoughts, wishes and dreams. But I knew once I opened Sacred Space by praying to the 6 directions—East-West, North-South—Mother Earth and the above beings—that I needed more than my mind and will to open the portals to where I should put my energy and focus.
Out of these prayers and conversations arose signs and messages that I should leave Charlottesville, Virginia where I had lived for 38 years and move to the Washington, DC area. My guides, teachers, guardians, the Apus, and the spirits of Bliss Point Farm where I had lived for the previous 8 years, told me, “Go and many doors will open.” They told me that big change was necessary for me to continue my work. I needed to be near the “frontlines” of conflict in my country and the planet—the seat of the U.S. government—to continue the work of peacemaking.
As a result, I am now writing this in my new apartment in Alexandria, VA, looking out the window at another mountain named Ida with whom I will develop a mystical friendship. I am happy to be here and grateful for the cosmic kick in the butt that uprooted me from a place I loved and where I have long and deep friendships, but where I was also stagnating. They knew—and deep down, I knew it was time for a major change and to go. Through their luminous powers of transformation, my resistance and fear was transmuted. Many synchronicities happened that made the move seamless. Indeed, it was so very easy, it was hard to believe!
Shamanism has been defined as a spirituality based on direct, personal revelation. Through our intimate connection with the greater consciousness of the Earth, All Those Who Walk, Swim, Crawl, Fly, and Creep, with Apus (Mountain Spirits), Spirits of land, water, air, and fire, Cosmic Beings of Light in other dimensions, and our Divine Parents (Mother-Father God), we can heal our trauma, harness our mission and purpose, manifest abundance in good work, love and finances, and get loving support for the challenges of each day and for major life transitions.
I was initiated into the mesa tradition of the Andes 16 years ago. My life has never been the same. This potent medicine bundle and the cosmic, mystical forces it connects me with, have healed my trauma and launched me on my path to be a shamanic healer, spiritual teacher and sacred activist. This was a fulfillment of my soul’s mission and purpose in this life.
Further, as I have faced the normal challenges of life, I have rarely felt alone. In fact, because the mesa is a portal or sacred altar into other realms, I am mostly always aware of the presence of these Angels and Cosmic Beings of Light.
But one does not have to be a healer to be a mesa carrier and partake of its sweet and powerful medicine. Indeed, in these times of transition and chaos, the spirits of the Apus and the medicine people of the Andes are calling forth any and all those who “carry the medicine.” In other words, we need hundreds of thousands of good-hearted lightworkers to build and strengthen their connection to their natural Divinity, to our Cosmic Earth Mother, to all those beings we live here with, to the Star People, and to so many in other dimensions and domains whose job it is to help usher humanity to a better place.
And it all can be anchored at the center of your life and home by being initiated into the mesa tradition of the Rainbow lineage of the Q’ero medicine people of Peru. Then you can build your friendship with the particular mountains, streams, oceans, and Mother Earth that are sacred to you. They are happy to be of service!
You no longer need to be alone. You no longer need to struggle to make that deep, intuitive connection to your authentic self and to the many mystical, cosmic forces of light and love in this startling and gorgeous creation.
