Soul Retrieval: What are its benefits?

Updated: Apr 25

Soul Retrieval is a shamanic healing technique through which missing pieces of self and soul are retrieved and reintegrated into the personality, psyche, and body, enabling you to live more fully and authentically. The concept of Soul Retrieval and energy healing is an ancient practice central to shamanism. Archaeological evidence points to the possibility that nearly 40,000 years ago, it was practised in Siberia and other areas of the world. In contemporary times, it is one of the most potent ways for healing trauma and removing blocks to authenticity, creativity, abundance, love, and happiness in life.

In this article, we will explore how to heal from trauma and give an overview of the benefits of Soul Retrieval.

What is the Soul?

You are a single, physical emanation of the greater aspect of yourself expressed in crystalline and light form in higher dimensions called the Soul. This Higher Self contains all the experiences, memories, contracts, and potentialities of every incarnation. To that end, the soul carries imprints of every aspect of experience across many lifetimes. This includes every personal, intellectual, and vocational interest.  It also includes all the joys, loves, moments and lifetimes of peace, and as well as every trauma and hardship. It is also the most perfect emanation of our wholeness and authenticity.

When you—your Higher Self—chooses to be born in a body, in a particular place and time, to a particular family, community, and society, you come with a unique and particular purpose. One of them is to reclaim relevant positive qualities and experiences to ensure the fulfilment of your mission in life, as well as to heal the wounds and traumas that have been repeated often through many lifetimes.

What is Soul Retrieval?

Soul retrieval is central to the toolkit of a shamanic healer. She accesses positive and beneficial qualities, talents, and experiences, as well recovers lost parts of self caused by traumatic experiences or life challenges—all imprinted in the Higher Self and waiting for reintegration. A shaman who does Soul Retrieval undertakes this process by going into a light trance state as she journeys into the client’s psyche. There she finds and heals the original wound and brings back a lost part of self. This is called Soul Retrieval. (Are you looking for soul retrieval services contact me.)

What is Soul Loss?

If you find yourself feeling disconnected, experiencing persistent emotional pain, or struggling with a sense of incompleteness, it likely means that you are suffering from a soul loss. Other symptoms can include a feeling of emptiness, chronic fatigue, difficulty forming meaningful connections, and a sense of being stuck in repetitive patterns. This means that there has been some loss of an integral part of the self, often due to personal traumas. However, soul loss can be transmitted transgenerationally from unhealed ancestral wounds, as well as carried forward lifetime after lifetime.

What are the Causes of Soul Loss?

Soul loss can be caused by mild to severe traumas, by a lack of belief in or support of creative and intellectual gifts, by pressures to conform to family or societal expectations based on gender, race, religion, or any other identity or roles. Here are a few examples:

Imagine a situation in which a child is beaten every day by his father. What would be the result? One possibility is that the child would lose trust in authority figures and even lose trust in the goodness of life. This is soul loss.

In another example, a man goes to war and witnesses the death of his comrades on the battlefield. There is horror and fear. Even though the man might continue to fight, his soul leaves his body—called dissociation in psychological terms. After World War II, it was called “shell shock.”

These are more serious traumatic experiences that can result in soul loss. But there are more subtle ways you can experience it. For instance, let’s say a child shows a great aptitude for art and keeps telling her parents that she wants to grow up and be an artist. Her parents, however, do not believe it is practical to do so and, so they discourage their child from doing anything artistic at home. Over time, she forgets that she loved painting and drawing. Then, as an adult, she always feels as if there is some part of her that is lost or missing. Eventually, she goes to a shaman who does Soul Retrieval. He then undertakes shamanic journeying to heal the wound and recover this lost talent and part of self.

What are the Benefits of Soul Retrieval?

The good news is that Soul Retrieval can result in such things as pain relief, a cessation of physical illness, improvement in relationships, work, and finances. You will have higher self-confidence and a more positive self-concept, improved sleep, meaningful dreams, and a strong sense of calm. In some cases, gifts and talents you never thought you had will manifest.

By integrating these soul parts using shamanic Soul Retrieval, you may experience a profound sense of wholeness, enhanced well-being, and a renewed connection to your authentic self.
